Namadillo is a comprehensive user interface that will expand your access to the Shielded Ecosystem. With features like staking, governance, transfers, shielding and more, Namadillo is your home base for interacting with Namada.
With today’s launch of Namada mainnet and the beginning of Namada’s 5-phase rollout process, Namadillo has opened its doors as the first comprehensive user interface for interacting with the network.
Namadillo aims to onboard both new and experienced members of the community with an easy-to-use interface. By consolidating key Namada functionality, Namadillo lowers the barrier to entry and simplifies engagement with the network.
Proudly open-source & community hosted
The Namadillo interface has been proudly open-source from day one. You can verify the code and contribute on GitHub, and even host your own Namadillo instance. Namadillo also does not use any tracking or analytics, and does not send any of your data to any central server — your data stays on your device. Namadillo also allows the user to choose what data providers to trust, between full node, indexer, and shielded indexer. Hardcore users can even self-host their own instance.
Namadillo is hosted by several members of the Namada community. Instances that are currently live are:
Namadillo provides access to core Namada features in a user-friendly interface. This includes support for:
Asset management
Staking
Governance participation
Shielding and unshielding asset data
Shielded and transparent transfers
IBC transfers
Transaction history
NFT Shielding
Not all features are currently enabled at the time of writing. Namada is currently in phase 1 of its 5-phase rollout process, during which only staking and governance features are live. Support for additional features will roll out as Namada proceeds through each phase of mainnet launch.
Overview
With Namadillo’s overview module, you can view all your assets at a glance, seeing which assets are shielded, unshielded, staked, and unbonded. You can also view and claim your NAM staking rewards, manage your assets, and easily access the shielding and transfer features.
Staking
With the staking module, you can stake your NAM tokens to help secure the Namada network and collect rewards. Here you can view your total staked and unstaked balance, as well as view and claim your staking rewards. You can research validators, view their basic stats like current voting power and commission rates, and diversify your stake across multiple validators. Namadillo’s multi-stake feature enables you to stake to multiple validators in a single transaction.

Governance
Namadillo's governance module enables NAM holders to participate in the protocol's decision-making process. You can view live, upcoming, and past proposals, see current vote tallies, and cast your vote on proposals.
MASP
The MASP (Multi Asset Shielded Pool) module lets you view and manage your shielded assets. This includes any tokens or NFTs shielded in Namada’s unified shielded set. Here you can shield assets and view the estimated shielding rewards you will receive for protecting your data. Shielding rewards are automatically added to your shielded account, no need to claim them.
IBC Transfer
With the IBC transfer module, you can bridge IBC-enabled assets cross-chain to and from Namada. Note that only those assets for which governance has enabled shielding rewards will be eligible to receive them. Support for shielding rewards for various assets will be rolled out by the community over time via governance.
The "Shield all" feature in the Namadillo interface is an important capability for simplifying the process of shielding your assets on the Namada network. This feature allows you to pre-load all the assets you hold on a single chain via the Keplr wallet integration. Then, you can shield all of those assets in one go, rather than having to shield each asset individually. "Shield all" functionality should be enabled soon after phase 3 of the Namada rollout.
Transfer
The transfer module is used for shielded and transparent transfers between Namada accounts. Users can seamlessly move assets across the Shielded Ecosystem using this feature. Whether transferring tokens or NFTs, the transfer module provides a streamlined interface for making both shielded and transparent transactions.
Compatible with Namada Keychain, Ledger, & Keplr
The Namada Keychain browser extension plays a crucial role in using the Namadillo interface. It serves as a signing oracle, allowing you to generate Namada accounts, import existing keys, and securely sign transactions. Namadillo integrates seamlessly with the Namada Keychain, providing a unified experience for managing Namada accounts and interacting with the shielded ecosystem.
Namadillo is also Ledger compatible, with a dedicated Namada app available on Ledger Live. Additionally, you can seamlessly connect Keplr, a popular Cosmos wallet, to Namadillo to shield assets in just a few clicks.
As more wallets and signers adopt support for Namadillo, it will become an increasingly essential portal for users to access the full capabilities of the Shielded Ecosystem.
What’s next for Namadillo
Namadillo functionality will continue to roll out in line with the five phases of Namada’s launch. Transfers and shielding of NFTs are expected to be enabled after phase 5.
As more applications and use cases emerge in the Shielded Ecosystem, Namadillo will likely evolve to integrate with these new developments, ensuring users have a unified and seamless experience when interacting with Namada and its connected networks and applications.
By consolidating key functionality into a single interface, Namadillo provides a streamlined entry point for engaging with Namada. Namadillo simplifies and streamlines user interaction with Namada, lowering the barrier to entry and driving broader adoption of the Shielded Ecosystem.
This marks a powerful new addition to the toolset users have in protecting their data when interacting with decentralized assets and protocols. It’s a long-overdue necessity advancing the freedom to reveal what data to whom and for what purposes. Crucially, as part of the Shielded Ecosystem, Namadillo is part of a broader movement of people working around a shared vision, to expand data sovereignty across Web3 and the broader internet. Because our freedoms should not end where the digital world begins.
